Three people stand behind every picture of interiors: the achitect, the photographer and the observer.
The first interprets the wishes of the customer, and fulfills them through his/her poetics. The photographer grasps and communicates to the observer what seems to be key to the architect's work.
The observer, looking at the picture, interprets it and in turn sees what his/her cultural background allows him/her to actually see.
The synergy of these three distict viewpoints creates further interpretations and references which modify and enrich the perception of the photographed space.
Since there is no single viewpoint, one of the main duties of the photographer is to offer an ample range of different visual perspectives.
Dietro ogni fotografia di interni ci sono almeno tre persone: l’architetto, il fotografo e l’osservatore.
Il primo interpreta ciò che richiede il committente e lo realizza attraverso la sua poetica; il fotografo comprende e restituisce all'osservatore ciò che gli sembra importante nel lavoro dell'architetto; l'osservatore, guardando la fotografia, la interpreta e a sua volta vede ciò che la sua cultura gli permette di vedere.
La messa in scena di questi tre punti di vista differenti crea ulteriori interpretazioni e rimandi che modificano e arricchiscono la percezione dello spazio fotografato. Proprio perché non esiste un solo punto di vista, uno dei principali compiti del fotografo è riuscire ad offrire il più vasto ventaglio di possibilità visive differenti.
